Frieda van den Heever (198*-) is an actress, singer, composer and cabaret artist.

Biography

She grew up in the Namaqualand area and matriculated at the Bloemhof Hoër Meisieskool in Stellenbosch. Frieda studied drama at the University of Stellenbosch Drama Department.

She was married to the late Leon Kruger.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

As a student she wrote and/or developed plays and cabarets, including In die Huis met die Deur.

Frieda performed in N.P. van Wyk Louw en die Meisies in 2006 and in Albert Maritz's cabaret Elders aan Diens (based on poems by Jeanne Goosen) in 2007.

She was one of the judges for the Kanna Awards at the KKNK in 2013.
