The original text

Subtitled "‘n 'ap-toe-dyt' klug" ("an up-to-date farce"), the play was written in 1998 and won the first prize as the best new play by a high school pupil in a newly founded competition open to all schools in the Northern Cape, run by the Upington Leeskring ("Upington reading circle").
