C.F. Mynhardt (originally known as C.F. Mijnhardt, 1878-1944) was a minister of religion and translator.

Biography
Born Charles Frederick Mijnhardt on Johannesburg on 1 June, 1878, .
He was married to Maud Beatrice de Beer and had four children, one of which was the father of actor Siegfried Mynhardt.
N.G. Kerk-predikant, lewenslange student van die klassieke en Semitiese tale, baanbreker-weermagskapelaan op eie inisiatief, samesteller van die Afrikaanse Bybelkonkordansie, vir verskeie beroepstoneelgeselskappe vertaler van toneelstukke in Afrikaans was, asook kroniekskrywer oor sy ondervindings in die Tweede Vryheidsoorlog, as krygsgevangene op Sint Helena en ook oor sy latere belewenisse in Oos-Afrika.
He passed away in Johannesburg on 19 October, 1944.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
He translated a number of plays into Afrikaans for the André Huguenet company. These included The Stranger Within by Crane Wilbur as As Mure Kan Praat ("If the walls could talk" - 193*), Wuthering Heights by Emily Brönte as Helshoogte ("Hell's Heights" - 194*). He also translated Ladies in Retirement entitled Die Rooi Pruik.
