1976: Staged by Dennis Reinecke for [[PACT]] Opera in December 1975. [[Anthony Farmer]] directed and designed the sets and [[Neels Hansen]] the costumes. Musical direction was by Leo Quayle and [[Geoffrey Sutherland]] was the choreographer. [[Lawrence Folley]] was cast as Strauss senior with [[Michael Renier]] as his son. [[Jean Fenn]], who had played the role in America, was brought out for the role as Helen. A revival of this production opened at the [[Civic Theatre]], Johannesburg on 11 November 1976. It was again revived in 1981.

Musical direction was by Leo Quayle and Geoffrey Sutherland was the choreographer. Lawrence Folley was cast as Strauss senior with Michael Renier as his son. Jean Fenn, who had played the role in America, was brought out for the role as Helen.
