''A Hundred Years Old'' by Serafin Quintero (1871-1938) and Joaquin Quintero (1873-1944), known as Los hermanos Quinteros (the Quintero brothers). The brothers, born near Seville, always worked together and from 1897 produced about 200 comedies, principally dealing with local life in Andalusia. Among them are ''Papá Juan: centenario'' (1909). Performed in Afrikaans by the [[NTO]] in 1957 under the title ''Oupa Kanniedood'', as translated into Afrikaans by Ants Kirsipuu, who came from Estonia seven years earlier and learnt Afrikaans well enough to do the translation. This production was directed by [[Jannie Gildenhuys]], who also played the role of Antonon. Others in the cast were [[Siegfried Mynhardt]], [[Francois van Wyk]], [[Susan Jansen]], [[Sann de Lange]], [[Cobus Rossouw]], [[Tilana Hanekom]], [[Retha Erasmus]], [[Eghard van der Hoven]] as Trino, [[Leonora Nel]] as Currita.
