Biography
Born Jacobus Petrus Adriaanse on 20 May, 1985, the son of author in Durbanville, he generally known as Beer Adriaanse. He attended Gene Louw Primary School in Durbanville and the Paul Roos Gimnasium in Stellenbosch, before attending the University of Stellenbosch (obtaining a BA and B.Phil. in journalism) and the University of Cape Town (M.Phil. in film and media).
He first became well-known as a founding member of, and the drummer for, the Afrikaans rock band Zinkplaat.
