1996: Directed by Ilse van Hemert and performed by Gys de Villiers and Anna-Mart van der Merwe. Abraham Helberg and Lizanne Helberg, of the group "Marimba!", performed on stage with the actors. Design was by James MacNamara and Tjaart Booysens. The play opened at KKNK in 1996 (and (for Van Hemert was awarded the De Kat/Herrie Prize for her production). It then toured country-wide and was very popular with audiences.
2018: A revived version was directed by Henriëtta Gryffenberg for the Innibos Festival, with musical adaptation by Lizanne Barnard. The piece was performed by Paul du Toit and Jenna Dunster.
