My Friend from Leatherhead is a farce in one act by Edmund Yates (Edmund Hodgson Yates, 1831-1894)[1] and N.H. Harrington (Nicholas Herbert Harrington, fl. 1850s).

The original text
First performed at the Royal Lyceum Theatre, London, on 23 February, 1857. Published by Samuel French in the same year.

Performance history in South Africa
1860: Performed by Charles Fraser and his company in the Cabinet Theatre, Cape Town, on 10 March , with The Child of the Regiment, or The Fortune of War (Buckstone).
