The original text
A serious play about the white miner’s strike on the Witwatersrand in 1922 and the social consequences of mining capitalism.
Unpublished manuscript in the Witwatersrand University Libraries, A406. There is no mention in SACat of it having been published. [I think it has been – I think I’ve seen it. TH]
Performance history in South Africa
1937: Performed by the Repertory Reading Group in the Library Theatre Johannesburg, under the direction of Elsie Salomon.
