Michael Redgrave (1908-1985) [1]. He was an English stage and film actor, director, manager, and author.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

His adaptation of Henry James’s story, The Aspern Papers, was produced by Leonard Schach at the Hofmeyr Theatre and the Playhouse in 1960.

In 1975 he led an ensemble of British actors in Shakespeare's People, also put together by him, which was staged by Pieter Toerien at the Johannesburg Civic Theatre in 1975, also visiting Port Elizabeth, East London, Cape Town, Durban and Grahamstown.
