John Oakley-Smith (19*-). Musical director and performer, actor.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
One of the founding members of Mannie Manim and Barney Simon’s The Company around 1974.
John was the musical director for productions of And Green And Golden, Cop-Out, Torch Song Trilogy, Madame Butterfly, Twelfth Night, or What You Will. He performed in Ain't We Got Fun.
He eventually settled in Zimbabwe.
