O Vredye Tabaka (О вреде табака) is a Russian one-act play by Anton Chekhov (1860–1904)[1].

The original text
A one man play, it was first published in 1886, but best known in the revised 1902 version.
Translations and adaptations
Translated into English as The Harmful Effects of Tobacco, first published by Ecco Press in The Unknown Chekhov (1954). Also found as On the Harmful Effects of Tobacco and On the Harm of Tobacco.
Translated into Afrikaans as Die Skadelike Effek van Twak by Nico Luwes. Text avaialable in the LitNet Spens ("Litnet Pantry") at http://www.litnet.co.za/Article/litnet-spens-die-skadelike-effek-van-twak.
