The Wind of Heaven (1945), by Emlyn Williams. The theme of the play is the revelation in a small Welsh village, during the 1850’s, of the Christ returned to earth in the habit of a village lad. Presented at the Pretoria Opera House, the Standard Theatre in Johannesburg and Cape Town's Alhambra Theatre by the Gwen ffrangçon-Davies / Marda Vanne Company, 1946, starring Tom MacDonald, Gwen ffrangçon-Davies, Sidney James, Wensley Pithey, Zoë Randall, Mary Holder, Rolf Lefebvre, Marda Vanne. Set by African Theatres.
