Pedro Kruger. (19**-) Actor, singer, composer, cabaret artist.

Biography

He was born in Cape Town.

Training

Pedro studied drama at the University of Stellenbosch


Career

He met up with Margit Meyer-Rödenbeck as a student and the two of them began a very succesful series of cabaret acts, which they took around the country.

By the late 1990’s he had become became a popular TV accompaniest for game shows as well.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

He has appeared in Blougat, Nico Malan Theatre, 1998, Hello and Goodbye, Kunstekaap, 2001, Lyf, Junkiedrome, (kabaret) High Street Theatre, 2002, Festen (2007).

Other productions include Die Koggelaar, Die Laaste Aand, Op Die Vrou Af, The Woman Who Cooked Her Husband, Lyf, Dinsdae by Morrie, Normality (directed by Shirley Ellis, 2012).

Co-wrote and performed in the cabaret Klein-Anna se Lament (1999) and was the musical director for Die Monster in die Gang (2013)

Wrote music and did choreography for Die Hangkas Haas (2004), Wrote the music for Die Leo’s (2013).
