Performance history in South Africa
1987: Directed by Keith Grenville for CAPAB and Volute Productions opening 17 July 1987 at the Nico Malan Theatre, starring Ron Smerczak as Bill, Diane Wilson (Frances), Jeremy Taylor (Dan), Joy Stewart-Spence (Molly) and Mark Hoeben and André Roothman as the puppeteers. Designed by Dicky Longhurst, lighting design by Malcolm Hurrell, puppets by Adrian Kohler of the Handspring Puppet Company. This production was awarded the AA Life Vita Award for Theatre and three Fleur du Cap Awards in 1987.
