Susanna die Geliefde is a novel by Margaret Bakkes first published in 1988. The book is about the life of the wife of the Voortrekker pastor Erasmus Smit (in South Africa in the 1800s), her search for love, her relationship with her mother and with the men in her life.
The novel was adapted for the stage, adding poems by Antjie Krog.
