[[A. Burnet]] (17**-18**) was a businessman and possibly also an amateur performer. Also listed as [[Anth. Burnet]] and was possibly the [[Anthony Burnett]] listed in the Dutch Reformed Church Registers in 1803 as the husband of Anthoinetta Margaretha Van Der Lith,  and father of Margaretha Anthoinetta Burnet.

He may also have been a relation (father?) of [[W. Burnet]], who acted for [[C.E. Boniface]]'s society,  [[Honi Soit qui Mal y Pense]].  
  
 
At his offices at Loop Street 87 in Cape Town he sold tickets performances, including those of ''[[De Papegaay]]'' (Von Kotzebue) by the new [[Dutch]] company [[Tot Leering en Vermaak]] (5 March, 1803) and  ''[[De Elfde Junius, of De Algemeene Betaaldag]]'' (Holberg) by the  [[Tot Nut en Vermaak]] (29 July 1809).
