Archy and Mehitabel [1] is based on the activities of the fictional characters created in 1916 by American Don Marquis (1878-1937) [2].

Archy's life of Mehitabel was presented by the Department of Speech and Drama, University of Natal, at the Square Space Theatre, directed and adapted by Ann Wakefield, May 1980
