The [[Hollandse Saal]] (“Dutch Hall”), former home of the [[University of Stellenbosch]]'s Chemistry Department, became the first home for the [[Stellenbosch University Drama Department]] in 19**. It had a hall used for performances. The building was demolished and the same site used to build the [[H.B. Thom Theatre]] in 1966.
