South African Theatre Union
South African Theatre Union (SATU - Afrikaans: Suid-Afrikaanse Teaterunie) was a trade union for performers.

The union
The South African Theatre Union (SATU) was the new name given to the South African Actors' Equity (Afrikaans: Suid-Afrikaanse Akteursekwiteitsvereniging) in 1969.
The acronym also foud as S.A.T.U in some sources.
In 1982 SATU expanded to include film activities and became the South African Film and Theatre Union (SAFTU - Afrikaans: Suid-Afrikaanse Film-en Teaterunie)
The SATU Hall
The Union owned a meeting hall and performance venue, known as the SATU Saal or SATU Hall, often used for performances, inter alia by some of the PACT companies.
