''Suspect'' is a play by English playwrights Edward Percy [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edward_Percy_Smith] and Reginald Denham [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reginald_Denham] about a Mrs Smith on whom a verdict of “not proven” in a murder trial was passed 20 years before the action of the play begins.

1944: Presented by the Repertory Theatre Society, later known as the [[Cape Town Repertory Theatre Society]] performed at the [[Little Theatre]], Cape Town, in July 1944, produced by [[Fred Gluck]] with [[Violet Dunlop]], [[Beatrice Webb]], [[A.J.A. Wilson]], [[John Headon]], [[Fred Gluck]], [[Carol James]], [[Nathan Jacobsohn]] and [[Hazel Casson]].

1960: Presented by The [[Bank Players]] 14-19 March 1960.

1982: Presented by the [[Franklin Players]] in Johannesburg to celebrate their 21 birthday, September 1982.
