Suspect is a play by English playwrights Edward Percy  and Reginald Denham  about a Mrs Smith on whom a verdict of “not proven” in a murder trial was passed 20 years before the action of the play begins.

1944: Presented by the Repertory Theatre Society, later known as the Cape Town Repertory Theatre Society performed at the Little Theatre, Cape Town, in July 1944, produced by Fred Gluck with Violet Dunlop, Beatrice Webb, A.J.A. Wilson, John Headon, Fred Gluck, Carol James, Nathan Jacobsohn and Hazel Casson.
