First performed at the Théâtre de la Montansier, Paris, in 1790, and published in Paris "chez la citoyenne Toubon" in 1794-1795.

Freely translated into [[Dutch]] by an anonymous author as ''[[De Doove, of Het Huis vol Volk]]'', published by H. van Kesteren in Amsterdam in 1811.
