Le Sourd, ou l'Auberge pleine ("The Deaf, or the full hostel") is a French comedy in three acts by Desforges (Pierre-Jean-Baptiste Choudard, 1746–1806).
The original text
First performed at the Théâtre de la Montansier, Paris, in 1790, and published in Paris "chez la citoyenne Toubon" in 1794-1795.
Translations and adaptations
Freely translated into Dutch by an anonymous author as De Doove, of Het Huis vol Volk, published by H. van Kesteren in Amsterdam in 1811.

1882: Performed in Dutch as De Doove, of Het Huis vol Volk by De Eendracht in the Oddfellows Hall, Cape Town on 25 August, with De Wraak van Carlo (Anon)
