Natasha Loring is an actress and producer

Biography

The daughter of theatre producer Richard Loring and Jeanette Loring, she grew up in the Beaulieu area of Midrand, near Johannesburg. Having attended St Stithians College, she studied acting at AFDA (graduating with a Bachelor of Arts) and then went to the Actors Centre London (now Seven Dials Playhouse). She also trained in ballet and modern dance.

Her sister is actress Samantha Loring.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

She first gained prominence through her roles in the films such as The Dinosaur Project (2012) and Zulu (2013) and the TV series Beaver Falls (2011–2012), going to make a large number of movies including the Showmax series Dam (2021–), for which she won a SAFTA award.

She also produced a short film called A Shame.
