It finally became part of the Penguin Random House South Africa empire, and is described as follows by the company: "The imprint now focuses on genre fiction broadly defined, and aims to provide readers with engaging, high quality reading material. LAPA is dedicated to the ongoing development of Afrikaans and the types of stories that South Africans choose to tell therein. The Lapa imprint is also recognized for its array of craft and cookery titles"[1]
