== Performance history in South Africa ==

It was the source of ''[[Limaçon de Dichter]]'', [[Charles Etienne Boniface]]'s satire on [[Joseph Suasso de Lima]].

Performed in that form in Cape Town on 20 August 1825 by [[Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense]], and published the same year.
