Thomas Barrow-Dowling
Thomas Barrow-Dowling (1861-1926) was a British-born academic, organist and choir master.

Biography
Born May 31, 1861 in Over Wallop, Hampshire, South East, England, United Kingdom. Died September 05, 1926 in Cape Town. He was a Professor of Music.
He founded the Cape Organ Guild (formerly the Cape Guild of Organists) in 1923 while serving as organist of St George’s Anglican Cathedral, Cape Town. He was also the first president (1923/24). He was organist at St. George's Cathedral from 1888 to 1926.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
He produced and directed a number of large children's choir performances in Cape Town, including:
1897: The Persian Princess
1909: The Children's Crusade
He also directed music for Edward Vincent's The Christmas Carol (1905).
