Doon Boshoff (1948-2021) was a freelance TV and film actor and lyricist.

Biography
Born Theunis Louis Boshoff on 6 June, 1948, in Kroonstad, Orange Free State, and completed his matriculation in Pietersburg in the Northern Transvaal.
Having finished school he worked in the banking sector and then in motor sales in Potchefstroom.
He wrote the lyrics for the Gene Rockwell hit song "Annabel".
Married to Alta on 6 February, 1971, and the couple had three sons. He and Alta settled in Nieuwoudtville 2020, where he passed away of a heart attack on 12 June, 2021.
Contribution to South African theatre, film, media and performance
Besides his full-time occupation, he did freelance acting in adverts, TV and film over the years.
He made his name as one of the leads ("Bedecker") in Keertyd ("Deadline"), the first Afrikaans TV drama series, written and directed by Jan Scholtz. He also had a leading role in Scholtz's film April 1980 and appeared in TV series such as Dirk Hoffman and Bosveldwinkel.
