Theatre for the youth as a concept

Used to refer to theatre not only for children, but also for young people, hence also referred to as Theatre for Young People.

Another name for NTO Youth Theatre, founded in 1959.

Theatre for Youth Western Cape (1970s& 1980s)

An organisation established by Rosalie van der Gucht in 1956, which utilized her students at the University of Cape Town rather than professional performers.
