The Silver Curlew
The Silver Curlew is a 1949 play with music by English author of children's stories and plays, poetry, biography, history and satire Eleanor Farjeon (1881-1965) [1]. The play is based on the Norfolk Fairy Tale, Tom Tit Tot, the English version of "Rumpelstiltzkin."

1958: Produced by Marjorie Gilbey for the Junior Collegiate School in the Port Elizabeth City Hall in aid of school funds and charities. Musical Director was Mrs N Cocks with music by Clifton Parker and choreography by The Carter-Summerton Studio of Dancing.
1967: Presented by the University of Cape Town’s Speech and Drama Department at the Little Theatre in March, directed by Marcia Berger and Elizabeth Coates.
1972: Presented by the PE Children's Theatre at the Port Elizabeth Opera House. Directed by Marjory Gilbey with music by Clifton Parker with special arrangements by Felicia Lifson and Don Galloway.
