Performance history in South Africa

First performed in Windhoek, Namibia in 1998, directed by the playwright, the play was an immediate success, winning the Golden Pen Playwrights Award in Namibia. It was revived in 1999 and was invited to the Maitisong Cultural Festival in Botswana and the Market Theatre's Community Theatre Festival in Johannesburg.

In March 2001 it returned to the Laager at the Market Theatre, directed by Vickson Hangula, with Eliza de Wee, Freida Karipi, Hubert Kavanjie and Stanley van Wyk.
