This ballet was based on the life of Johaar Mosaval who grew up in District Six.

Performance history in South Africa

1960: Presented by the EOAN Group. David Poole choreographed this production. Johaar Mosaval, a former EOAN Group member dancing with the Royal Ballet Company in the United Kingdom, returned to South Africa to dance in this production.
