(also known as The Lodger) by Stephen Black. A farcical one-act play which deals with the visit of a pretentious and pompous town councillor to the Johnstone-Achteruit family. The play explores social issues of English/Afrikaans, master/servant, male/female relationships. Published in Modern Stage Directions (Cape Town: Maskew Miller, 1984).
