Middle Temple is a farce in one act by Richard Brinsley Peake (1792–1847)[1].

Sometimes performed under a fuller title: The Middle Temple; or, Which is My Son?


The original text

First performed in London on July 1828 at the Theatre Royal, English Opera House.

Published in London by Chapman and Hall in 1838.

Performance history in South Africa

1854: Performed in Cape Town's Garrison Theatre by the Garrison Players on 18 September as part of a benefit performance for the comedian Mr. Kirton, along with Honesty is the best Policy (Lemon) and The Spitalfields Weaver (Bayly).
