The Long and the Short and the Tall

The Long and the Short and the Tall is a play by English playwright Willis Hall (1929-2005)[]. Previously named The Disciplines of War. The play is set during the Second World War but the name comes from the lyrics of the 1917 song, "Bless them all".

Translations and adaptations

A film adaptation was released in 1961. Directed by Leslie Norman, it stars Laurence Harvey, Richard Harris, Richard Todd, and David McCallum.
