The Judgement of the Lion is a one-act play by William Branford

The original text

Dealing with the emperor of Ethiopia, Najashi, who gives refuge to some of Mohammed's followers who had fled the corruption of the Quraish (the sharifs who were resisting the message from Mohammed).

Published by the Arabic Study Circle, Durban, 1958. The original in the National Literary Museum in Grahamstown.
