The Enchanted Turk

The Enchanted Turk is the name of a play performed by the so-called "Automata" or "Automaton Figures", large mechanical puppets, of W.F.H. Parker.

Performance history in South Africa

1837: Brought to in Cape Town by W.F.H. Parker, when it was performed along with Polander, the dramatic play The Children in the Wood and Joey Grimaldi's Trip to Brentford.
