The original text
A play about three sisters waiting the death of their father and trying to cope with ghost from their past.
First performed by the Druid theatre company, Galway, Ireland (with The Stanley Parkers) from 26 July 1990. A popular piece, it was performed thereafter at venues across the globe, including the Dublin Theatre Festival, Wimbledon Studio Theatre, London, Edinburgh Festival and the Irish Arts Theatre, New York. Has been done in the original and in translation in South Africa, France, Sweden, Israel, Switzerland etc.
Winner All-Ireland One-Act Play Festival, Best Play, Drama Festival of France. Best Play, New Zealand Drama Festival.
Published by Samuel French and in several anthologies.
Translations and adaptations
The text been translated into German, French, Afrikaans and Hebrew.
