The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is an 1876 novel by Mark Twain about a boy, Tom Sawyer, growing up along the Mississippi River.

Translations and adaptations

Several adaptations have been made for stage, film, television and radio. Often these have been titled or referred to simply as Tom Sawyer.

Performance history in South Africa

1985: Produced by Children's Theatre Productions at the Intimate Theatre, Johannesburg, directed by Joyce Levinsohn and Jill Girard.
