Staf of Kroon ("Staff or Crown") is a one act Afrikaans play by D.F. Malherbe (1881-1969).

The original text

A play about the abbot Bernardo of Bologna, who had built up the abbey to an institution doing useful work in the community, but leaves when the city wants to honour him, since he understands the dangers of celebrity.

Published by Nasionale Boekhandel Bpk in Malherbe's collection Die Uur van die Rooi Maan en Ander Eenbedrywe in 1950.
