Also known as the NAPAC Loft Theatre Company. An experimental theatre company founded by Nicholas Ellenbogen in 1985 as part of the restructuring of the Natal Performing Arts Council (NAPAC) under Rodney Philips.

They were named after the Loft Theatre, a 150-seater venue in the Natal Playhouse complex in Durban, which served as their home venue.

Sometimes referred to as the Solderteater Geselskap in Afrikaans.

NAPAC’s Loft Theatre Company was a permanent company established to tour the province, present lunch entertainment and schools work.
