Senkatana

(Southern Sotho) by S.M. Mofokeng. This play derives its plot from Sotho mythology. Senkatana is a young hero who rescues his people from the stomach of an immense monster, Kgodumodumo. Published by Wits University Press in 1952. Reprinted by the National Library of South Africa (NLSA) as part of their South African Indigenous Classic Books series in 2009.
