SA Rock Alternatief is musical production compiled and directed by Royston Stoffels, with musical direction by Calli Housden.
The original text
Subtitled "Celebrating South African Music", the programme included 23 popular songs and music by a range of South African composers/artists and groups from the second half of the 20th century.

Performance history in South Africa
2001: Performed in the H.B. Thom Theatre, Stellenbosch, from 23 May to 2 June by students of the Stellenbosch Drama Department directed by Royston Stoffels, with musical direction by Calli Housden. The large cast included Tanya Baleson, Hykie Berg, Louis Loock, Isabel Martens and Ranza Skordis, while the 10 strong band featured Marcus Louw and Heinrich Beisheim as lead guitarists, Michael Jozefowicz on base among others, while Riandi Visser, Nina Sabbagha and Tanya Baleson were responsible for the choreography. Set design by Francois van Wyk, lighting design by Nicholas Myburgh, stage management by Liane Mulder and production management by Cornelia Faasen
