FAURE, Rev. A. (?). Clergyman through whose efforts the Dutch churches took the lead in establishing the Zuid-Afrikaansche Athenaeum in 1829. Earlier, in 1824, he had established the Nederduitsch Zuid-Afrikaansch Tydschrift.
