He appeared in a number of plays, including:

Koning Lear (PACT, 1990)

As director

Perold directed a number of plays for the Arts Theatre Club, including: The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole, Aged 13¾ (1995), A Little Peace of the Sixties (1996), Three Wicked Women and a Lady (1996), A Slice of the Seventies (1996), Sylvia's Secret Salmagundi (1997), Finally the Fifties (1997), Everyman (1998), A Little Bit Country, A Little Bit Rock and Roll (1998).

As playwright

He wrote the play The Quigney Has the Blues, staged by Hudson Park High School at the Gibson Kente Theatre (2025).
