Norman Ntshinga

Norman Ntshinga (19*-2000) Actor and musician.

He led the harmony group The Keynotes in Port Elizabeth in the 1950s.

Ntshinga was sentenced to 10 years hard labour on Robben Island in 1966.

His name was on the list of Pan Africanist Congress candidates for the first National Assembly in a democratic South Africa in 1994.

He was the main instigator of the group who visited Athol Fugard for the first time and after which the Serpent Players acting group was formed. He was married to Mabel Magada.

Died in May 2000.
