I Musicanti was a Cape Town-based string orchestra.

In February 1978 sixteen of the members of the Cape Town Symphony Orchestra decided to form a new string chamber orchestra, following the collapse of the chamber orchestra founded by Benito Moni in 1976. The new String Chamber Orchestra, I Musicanti, gave their first performance at the Baxter Concert Hall on 25 February 1978.

It was run for several years by Allan Stephenson. The orchestra performed an annual concert series at the Baxter Theatre (1978-1984).

The Cape Town orchestra continues as Musicanti Chamber Orchestra, a group of amateur string players.
