Mr Hill's Literary Entertainment

Mr Hill's Literary Entertainment is a series of educational readings offered in the Commercial Exchange, Cape Town by Mr T.P. Hill in 1846, opening on 12 October 1846. Similar shows were done in 1849-50, also under the title of Literary Entertainments. His programmes included many reading from Shakespeare, Dickens, Sheridan, Knowles, and other writers of poetry and prose.
