Make Like Slaves is a radio play by Richard Rive (1930-1989).

The original text

It is a one-act play with which he won the 1972 BBC African Theatre Competition. The action of the play subtly reveals the prejudices and received attitudes of a seemingly liberal white woman directing a play with black actors.

Performance history in South Africa

1976: A Rhodes University Drama Department production was directed by Roy Sargeant during the National Arts Festival in 1976.
